Hello,
My name is Jason Armacost and I have been a Technical Writer since 1997.
Let me give you information about my career. My principal education is in the sciences particularly Biology and Chemistry. I am a graduate from the University of Connecticut and hold Bachelor of Science in Biology with a Chemistry minor. I got involved in technical writing in the Analytical Chemistry Industry working for Pekin Elemer particularly in the areas of Mass Spectroscopy and Gas Chromatography assay development.
Next I spent about ten years in the Pharmaceutical Industry where I began writing Validation and Verification assays, Standard Operating Procedures, and Installation guides. One point that I should make is that I like working in documentation more than in the laboratory because I have a better aptitude as a writer than a Chemist.
Later I moved into the Nuclear Engineering Industry where I primarily focused on installation guides and test procedures for various Dept of Homeland Security projects. I have found over the years that I can handle very complex projects with steep learning in a very efficient manner.
From there I moved into the Financial Services industry and have been there ever since. Mostly working on batch file applications and communication platforms.
